Ben Beaumont
Head of Teacher Education
Ben started teaching in 1997 and his roles have included teacher, teacher educator, writer and assessor. Ben has worked in a range of educational sectors, practising in both face-to-face and online learning environments. Keen to facilitate cross-sector learning, Ben is also a researcher and frequent conference speaker, working to support teachers in the development of their professional practice.
Simon Dunton
Teacher Development Manager
Simon is a teacher, teacher educator and materials writer and has been working in education since 2006. Simon has worked in a wide variety of learning contexts and countries, including in Russia, Italy and the UK. His particular professional interests include teaching young learners, and inclusivity and diversity in the language learning classroom.
Clare has been working in various teaching and training roles since 2008 and is currently a Director of Teacher Training in Hong Kong. Clare has also worked in a variety of educational contexts in both the UK and mainland China. As well as running courses leading to the Trinity CertTESOL and DipTESOL qualifications, Clare trains and presents at conferences across Asia.
Kevin has been working in a wide range of teaching and training roles internationally since 2009. Kevin is currently Course Director for Trinity CertTESOL and Trinity TYLEC Courses in Hong Kong, runs training sessions across Southeast Asia and the Middle East and also has a great interest in online education, as a trainer, teacher and a participant.
Sinéad Laffan
Teacher Educator
Sinéad is an online Learning and Development Specialist who started her career in ELT in 2008. Sinead has been a teacher, trainer and content developer and has worked as an examiner and trainer for several organisations. Sinéad is a former coordinator of the IATEFL Teacher Development Special Interest Group, and continues to provide coaching and advice for those working in the digital learning environment.
Chris Farrell
Teacher Educator
Chris is currently the Head of Training and Development for a chain of international language schools. Chris has a wide range of experience in teacher education, with a particular passion for professional development and mentoring. As well as being a renowned trainer and conference speaker, Chris collaborates with accreditation bodies to help promote more sustainability in teacher development.
Angelos Bollas
Teacher Educator
Angelos is a teacher and teacher trainer. He has supported students and teachers of all levels and backgrounds and works on a variety of teacher education programmes, both in-person and online. He is particularly interested in online teacher education and issues related to diversity and inclusion.
Yvert de Souza
Teacher Educator
Yvert is a passionate teacher trainer, materials writer and education consultant. His key areas of interest include language testing, materials design, lesson observations and CPD. He has been fortunate enough to work with some outstanding practitioners while working in the Czech Republic, Portugal and Japan. He loves discussing language teaching and exploring new approaches to improve the learners’ experience.
Karla Leal
Teacher Educator
Karla has extensive experience teaching and training teachers for a variety of learning contexts, including young learners and university contexts. She has also taught in London in a multilingual setting focusing on General English, Exam Classes, CPD and Teacher Education. She is keen on material design, observing teaching practice and helping others to improve on their own skills.
