Enquiries about results

In the first instance please contact your Registered Exam Centre or Trinity representative for all enquiries about exam results. Most issues can be resolved in this way.

If you have already received your exam result and are dissatisfied with the outcome, Trinity has a two-stage process to investigate examination results. The first stage is a review process for practical exams, and a re-mark request procedure for written exams. The second stage, where there is dissatisfaction following the outcome of a review or remark, is an appeal. To make a formal enquiry, please complete the enquiries about results form and read our terms and conditions.

You must do this within 12 weeks of receiving the exam result.

You will need to provide contact details, details of the exam you are enquiring about, and whether you would like to request:

  • a clerical check or
  • a results review or
  • a re-mark

If you are a centre or teacher and wish to apply on behalf of a group of more than 5 candidates from the same exam session, please contact us at resultsreview@trinitycollege.com. The Post Results team will calculate the fee for this service.

Outcome
Following a review, the marks given may be adjusted up or down, or they may stay the same. If the marks change such that a higher band is awarded, a new certificate will be produced and the fee for the results review service will be refunded.

Timescale
We aim to complete a re-mark within 45 working days* from receipt of fee payment.

Outcome
Marks given may be adjusted up or down, or they may stay the same. If the marks change such that a higher band is awarded, a new certificate will be produced and the fee will be refunded. Please note that Trinity does not provide feedback on individual candidate performance.

If we find that that a review or re-mark is or has become especially complex, we may need longer than 45 days to investigate. In these circumstances we will notify you as soon as practicable, explaining the reasons for the delay.

Payment

You do not need to pay the fee until we ask you to. We will check your form and then let you know how much to pay, and how. Please see the current fee schedule. Please note that we are unable to start the review process without the necessary payment and relevant supporting documents.

Appeals

If you are not happy with the outcome of a results review or re-mark, you can appeal against it. See the appeals page for more information.
