These activities complement communicative teaching practices. They don’t cover all exam requirements – remember to use the GESE Exam information booklet to ensure that you cover all the exam content.

Note that Topic discussion forms are not required at this level.

GESE Grade 1 - CEFR level Pre-A1

• Activity 1 - colours, parts of the body, clothing 
• Activity 2 - animals 
• Activity 3 - classroom objects and numbers 
• Activity 4 (adult learners) - classroom objects and colours
• Activity 5 (adult learners) - colours, parts of the face and body
• Activity 6 (adult learners) - greetings, personal Information, leave-taking

GESE Grade 2 - CEFR level A1

• Activity 1 - household objects and rooms
• Activity 2 - people, possessions and questions
